A few things could impact the cost of housing as we move forward, so Clint wanted to see if I would help to make sure that you know what is going on, in case you have an opinion on the matter you would like to express.
So, listen in as Clint gives us the skinny on a study he found that says that Fort Collins has just reached the tipping point. The average wage earner in Fort Collins, according to the study done by Demographia, cannot afford the average home.
Housing Affordability in Fort Collins — What do the Demographia numbers mean?
First, one of the main reasons that the prices have gone to where they are is because of demand. When demand is driving the price, it can be hard to slow down.
However, there are other areas where we can focus on, if, that is, you’d like to see Fort Collins retain some of its ‘regular Joe’ roots. I’ve attached all three podcasts that made up our show on Feb. 8, 2017 and the information is fascinating.
