Busiest Time of Year in Fort Collins Real Estate
The busiest time of the year for Northern Colorado Real Estate is almost here.
Every year, the activity in real estate in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado’s Front Range follows a predictable pattern. The winter is slow. The summer is busy.
Things really get going after school lets out, and as you can see in the chart below, the peak is around August.
We look at a few metrics in this post. The first is the number of new listings on the market for sale in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Timnath. The more listings there are, the more activity there is. The number reaches its peak around August each year.
The next metric we look at is the number of closed sales in real estate in the aforementioned markets. The highest numbers there are around September. Given that each deal, after it is agreed upon, takes about 30 days to close, this means that many deals are happening around August as well.
