Corona Virus Update for Colorado Buyers

With these unpredictable times, I wanted to provide you with an update on finding a home in the current market conditions. These conditions are changing daily – call me for updates on any significant changes.

The Current Northern Colorado Real Estate Market

  • Mortgage rates are at historic lows, allowing you to have more purchasing power than ever before. However, rates are also fluctuating rapidly, often by 0.5%-1% from one day to the next. Please contact your lender for more information about mortgage rates.

  • Home showings are remaining steady. We had 204 showings on listings in our office alone this past week.

  • We still have an inventory shortage in Northern Colorado. However, the sellers that are on the market are serious about selling their home.

  • If your job has been impacted by COVID-19, please call me and we can discuss your situation.

Viewing Homes Safely

  • Many homes are offering a “Virtual Open House” for potential buyers to walk through a home online. If you see a home you are interested in but are not comfortable viewing it in person, I can visit it for you and stream the showing to you live through Facetime, Facebook Live, or another service.

  • If we do view homes together in person, please use hand sanitizer before entering the home and remove your shoes on the porch to limit the amount of time spent in a home.

  • For your health, we will be unable to visit a home if the occupant is showing symptoms of the virus, has had contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or who is currently self-quarantined.
